What We Do
Truck Battery Experts brings the battery to the machine. Moving a dead excavator off a civil site or trailering a loader back to a workshop costs more than the battery. So we attend quarries, construction sites, farms, warehouses and hire yards with Exide, Bosch and SuperCharge heavy-duty batteries on the van. Every fitment starts with a load test on the existing battery and a check of the machine’s charging output.
Our work covers growth-corridor building sites around Wyndham and Melton, cold storage and distribution floors in Dandenong South, and market gardens and farms from Werribee South to the Bellarine. If the machine has a diesel, petrol or LPG engine and a starting battery, we can match it and fit it where it stands.

Earthmoving, materials handling, agricultural and power generation equipment covered.
Heavy-duty batteries with secure hold-downs, suited to tracked machines and rough-terrain work.
Load test and charging system check on every machine before anything is replaced.
Worksites, yards and paddocks across Melbourne and Geelong, day or night.

How it works
Plant Battery Replacement Without the Downtime
Give us the make, model and site location. A photo of the battery label or the battery box helps us bring the right size and terminal layout.
A technician attends with the matched battery on board. There's no need to float the machine or pull it off the job.
We load test the battery and check alternator output. If the battery is recoverable or the fault lies elsewhere, we'll tell you.
The new battery is fitted, clamped down firmly, and the terminals cleaned and protected. We confirm the charging system is healthy before we leave.

Common Questions
Frequently Ask Questions
What machinery do you supply batteries for?
We cover excavators, backhoes, wheel loaders, skid steers, compact track loaders, telehandlers, graders, rollers and compactors. We also cover diesel and LPG forklifts, tractors, generators and lighting towers. If it runs an engine with a 12V or 24V starting system, we can almost certainly supply and fit the right battery.
Is my machine 12V or 24V?
Most mid to large excavators, graders and wheel loaders run 24V, usually two 12V batteries in series. Many skid steers, compact loaders, tractors and forklifts run 12V. It varies by make, model and year, so send us the machine details or a photo of the battery box and we’ll confirm before attending.
Why do plant batteries fail sooner than truck batteries?
Vibration is the main killer. Constant shaking on tracked and rough-terrain machines loosens internal plates and cracks connections, especially if the hold-down is loose or missing. Dust blocks vents and builds up on terminals. Machines that sit idle between jobs, or seasonal gear like harvest tractors, slowly self-discharge and sulphate.
What battery sizes do you carry for machinery?
Plant commonly runs N70, N100, N150 and N200 class batteries, plus a range of DIN sizes on European equipment. Physical fit matters as much as capacity. Terminal orientation, post type, case height and cable reach all need to match the battery box. We confirm these before we leave for the job.
Can a new battery fix a machine that keeps going flat?
Only if the battery was the problem. A worn alternator, a loose drive belt, corroded earth straps or a parasitic draw will flatten a new battery just as fast. We test the charging system on every job, so you’re not paying to replace a battery that was never at fault.
How do I stop batteries going flat on machines that sit idle?
Use the battery isolator when the machine is parked for more than a few days, since cab electronics and immobilisers draw power continuously. For machines that stand for weeks at a time, a quality maintenance charger keeps the battery topped up and slows sulphation. Starting the machine now and then isn’t enough unless it runs long enough to recharge.
Do you service hire fleets and yards with multiple machines?
Yes. We attend hire depots, contractor yards and council works depots for scheduled battery testing across a whole fleet. Testing before winter, or before a machine goes out on dry hire, catches weak batteries before they strand an operator on site.
Can you get to rural properties around Geelong?
Yes. We cover farms and rural properties around Geelong, the Bellarine and the Surf Coast hinterland, as well as metro Melbourne’s outer growth areas. Call with your location and we’ll give you a realistic ETA before we head out.
